Water leak. NEED HELP

found water leaking along metal edges below city water inlet.

Took out connection and tightened and not leaking around hose inlet at all..allbeit the wood is wet there. PIC W

Water appears to be running all along the bottom edge where big water storage tank meets frame of RV.

I drained down tank some and opened it, a little standing water inside.

WHAT IS INSIDE of this tank? appears to have wires/tubes/wood all inside" I can't get enough light to see clearly and Thor not providing any info.

I have the fresh water tank pretty much drained down, pump is not ON.
Sorry the pictures are not the best.

Anyone have any ideas?

You can use an endoscope to get a better view inside of your tank. I would think that it should be empty of debris.

I didn't see any tanks in your pictures, only storage bins.

Could be just a loose fitting on the pex down stream of your water conn. inlet. If you can get to that area you may can find the leak which is usually the highest point and according to Murphy's law, the most inaccessible.

Water leak

Does the pump cycle on by itself when no faucet is open? And not connected to city water. It shouldn’t unless there is a leak on that side of the plumbing.

It’s not as easy as it sounds but connecting to city water and opening the faucet to pressurize the hose and then close the faucet and see if it holds pressure. Can’t have any leaks at the connections or faucet or an anti back-flow device. Not a definite diagnosis procedure but it might work to find a leak.

Most of the plumbing is accessible from inside by pulling out drawers or removing access panels and the little false walls under the sinks.

Being a few years old, always replace any cone washers if you take any connections apart. (I recommend)

still leaking

ok so have had people, THOR REP, tell me that this is black water tank, NOT or storage compartment NOT. Tomorrow I am going to pull RV forward, put jack down and get light inside of it. It is Right below city water inlet, still think it might be fresh water tank. I have crawled under RV and have seen and know where the gray and black water tanks are, in middle of rig, not back.

You are right, it is NOT a storage compartment. It is an enclosed compartment that contains your water heater and furnace. Your black water tank is forward of your rear wheels. Your fresh water tank is above the floor level and likely has access in the bedroom to the drain; maybe under the bed? Where/how did you drain the FW tank?
