First Time With Refrigerator

Getting ready to travel this Sunday. I am currently hooked up to my house and put the Dometic Refrigerator on. Green light is on and I set it for "5 snowflakes" as outlined in the owners manual. I just checked to see if it was getting cold...yes, the freezer is cold but the refrigerator itself has not cooled... is there anything wrong or should I just give it time? The manual indicates about 8 hours! Any guidance would be appreciated and thank you!

It takes about 24 hours for the freezer to go from 90 degrees down to 20 degrees and the lower section to go from 90 degrees down to 40 degrees if the fridge's outside panel is out of direct sun. Takes about 40% longer on electricity than on propane.

Put frozen water bottles in both fridge and freezer. It will speed things up
