Vehicle height

My rig states the height as 11 feet, 3 inches. Does that include the height of the air conditioner? The reason I am asking is that I bought the Garmin RV 760LMT gps and want to make sure I set the profile correctly.

I agree, bridges and underpasses should be measured from the lowest place, but that is not always true. Better to be safe than sorry.

At 11.5-12' I'd be shocked to hear it ever warn you of low clearance, unless you try to go into a parking garage.

There are some tunnels around Yosemite that are marked 10'-4" but that's vertical clearance at the curve. Being too conservative may make one miss out on some great routes.

My first reaction after measuring a large rented Class C was the same as on link -- to avoid the road. But once there I saw many larger RVs and buses getting through so I knew I'd be fine as long as I stayed close to middle.

Link has nice pictures of tunnels.

Hwy. 120 to and through Yosemite

Maybe in Texas. In this one road in PA, there are nine low bridges in this small area. Lots of other places in the Northeast.

Put a 6 foot level across the tallest point on your roof make sure the bubble is in the level view window, then have someone else take a tape and measure to ground, Get your measurements yourself.

Did you check Thor's website for the specs?
If you set your GPS to be on the alert for anything under twelve feet: it'll never steer you wrong.

The 2021’s say 12’2” and I read an auto week article that said the vegas was 11’3” without the stuff on top. Just checking if that’s the case or not. Every spec i see says 11’3”. July that one article has me wondering.

Thor's spec say the unit is 12'2" with the AC unit. Since Thor built the rig I imagine they know more about the specs than auto week.

Why the concern? Are you height limited in some way on your street, storage or somewhere else?

When I had my rig weighed shortly after purchase, they checked the height and it came up to 11' 3" as stated by Thor. That includes the roof A/C unit. I set my Garmin for 11' 9".

Ok awesome. I was worried it would be above 12’ and not fit into my shed.
