Four Winds 31W slide error

My 2015 31W full side Lippert slide is acting up. It will open fine, but when I go to close it, it stops about halfway in. The controller error message is a short between motor and controller.

If I do the override to retract it, it goes in successfully. Then, if it cut power to the controller for 30 minutes, it will open fine.


Is there anything I can do? Of course, we are one week into a 3 week trip in northern Washington about to head into Canada.


I can continue this cycle for the 4-5 more times I need it to open and close if that will work. Seems like the controller needs to reset or something? And advice appreciated!

On my full wall slide, I had to extend about 6 inches then retract, do this 3 times In a row. This timed the motors, and were then in sync. Hope this helps. Jerry. also you may need to follow instructions on the control box to reset it as well

I had issues with my 31e. Ended up being a connection. I unplugged and plugged in the connector back in multiple times. No issues since.
