2015 Vegas 24.1 Sofa Replace
My 2015 Vegas 24.1 sofa is badly delaminating. I want to replace it with a cloth jackknife sofa. I know lots of you folks have replaced the sofa with another or recliners.
What is the sofa length and width you recommend?
Thanks.

It's not so much "recommend" as what will fit. I know on our ACE we were looking at under 60". I believe others have found that the 24.1 is 68"? But most have replaced with theater seating of some sort. I don't recall a replacement to a jacknife sofa on this forum.

Hi, I eventually purchased through Camping World a Allure 68" Jackknife Sofa with Kick Recliner, Elva Gunmetal. Camping World wanted to charge me $410 to install it and I ended up doing it myself for free. It fit perfect.

we installed Thomas Payne theater seats we found on ebay, cost less than $600 3 years ago. very happy with it. easy to remove old, installing new took about a day. and it is a little smaller in width than the original, thus there is space at both ends to store small things. we put books and shopping bags. a very nice upgrade for us. the install took a day as mounting / attaching brackets were needed to bolt to floor. these metal hold downs did not come with the seats, we needed to fabricate them ourselves, the new seats hang over the existing floorboard area a little, so the mounts need to be custom made. placement is important to allow the seats to recline with proper space between the back and wall. there is some space behind the seats when installed for storage. we put backpacks and our REI folding camping seats. in our 3 years of use, never a problem, a great upgrade for us.

Removing couch in 2015 Vegas 24.1
Want to remove my couch and have the shredding upholstery removed and reupholstered in heavy grade cloth. Looking for any guidance in how to remove couch and the upholstered arms.

Not sure about yours. To take mine out I removed the lower access/kick panel and the the 4 screws which held the couch to the floor and then I was able to remove the four bolts which held the arms to the couch frame.

hi Ed and Bev. we have a 2017 24.1 vegas, removed the couch, just 4 bolts underneath.
putting in the new seats took a couple of hours but was worth the effort.
much thanks for all your contributions, especially your manual. it was very helpful.

Replacing Vegas 24.1 Couch & Captain Chairs
The upholstery on my 2015 Vegas 24-1 is completely disintegrating. The cheap fake bonded leather is giving up the ghost. I've decided to replace the couch and captain chairs with new ones from Shop4Seats (Qualitex Alante 3 piece RV Furniture Package --https://shop4seats.com/rv-seating/rv-captain-chairs/rv-alante-package.html).
My RV tech shop that I use for any repairs is going to move the old & install the new.
My question is do I have to replace the chair swivel bases as well. Shop4Seats has a 7" and 10" base. Would the new chais simply bolt to the existing bases? If I need the new base which should I order-- I assume the 10".
I know several folks here have replaced the chairs so any information would be most helpful.

Replacing pullout couch Vegas 24.1
Has anyone replaced the jackknife sofa with a loveseat recliner on a Vegas 24.1? I’m finding the furniture to be slightly larger in depth and height with width only 2 inches shorter. If you have, what did you use? It’s a project that I am reluctant to do, but couch is so uncomfortable.

Part two. Today I opened sofa bed to see if I could replace it with a love seat recliner from Rec Pro. Ended up really disappointed. First, in order to leave a 3 inch space for reclining, I’ll need about 40 inches from back to front, which will leave me with a 7 inch overhang at front of recliners. Every time we would get up from seats, stress would be applied to front of seat, due to the overhang. Also, I was hoping that I could use existing screw connections from old sofa to stabilize new love seat, but there weren’t any, and I’m not confident enough to lay new bolts to secure the seats. Originally I thought I would place a 5 foot 1x5 inch board across the bottom of the frames too hold everything in place, but I am reluctant to drill into the floor of the slide out.
Any suggestions.

What does the side arrows control other than the fan and the awning?

Job's done. New Couch & Seats installed. And just to let you know -- I was worried about the seat bases. My RV guys left the old ones in place and the new seats just bolted to the old swivel bases.
