Fresh water tank overflow

I have a ace 30.4 2020 motor home, question is when I filled the fresh water storage tank, when it was full the water came out the fill hole, so I am trying to find the overflow tubes, to see if they have a valve shut off. Any ideas

Some have a drain tube under the rig, some have a vent right at the fill valve the doubles as the overflow. Drain needs a valve. Overflow/vent dos not have one. Overflow/vent must always be open.

As said DO NOT close the vent & run the water into the tank slowly to allow it to vent evenly. Yes, the spilling out the fill opening or the vent next to it is normal when tank is full.

i don,t have either one , a vent tube under the coach, or a vent hole at fill location. All I know is when water comes out the same hole it’s way over full.

Welcome to the Forum!
This is an easy one to solve...
When it starts to overflow: shut off the water, go inside your RV, and open uo a faucet.
This'll bring the water level down to where it should be!
(Otherwise: I've got nothing for you on this issue... )

Mine also started running down a tube under the motorhome. I have the water on a trickle so the water does not come out the fill side. I have an empty tank. Is there a valve for the open fill for non hook up

Are you hooked up to a water supply tight now?

there is a valve on the drain tube. There is no valve on the vent/overflow.

Contact Thor to get plumbing Diagram

Despite what some may say, Thor is one of best with diagrams etc for things like this. Each coach can be different even within a same model. Strongly suggest getting the plumbing diagram, and post picture of any question if concern is not resolved.

i.e. I had brand new coach and Dealer and I clashed because I could not get my fresh water tank drain valve to drain. They insisted I was turning the wrong thing !!!! Turns out my model's drain valve will not work unless water pump is "on" The owner's manual that came with the coach was NOT for my serial number.

Mfg sent me plumbing diagram and new customized owners manual for my coach. I thought the pump was odd at first but actually it pumps it out very fast. My overflow line runs from top of tank to rear of coach. When it is full I can see water coming out the back and I turn off the hose. Eeasie Peasie
