Fridge drain line

I recently purchased a 2016 Thor 27.1 Motor Home. I noticed that the drain line for the fridge goes into a metal pan. I can see how the water would evaporate if you're on propane but if your on electric it would seem to be better to route it outside. Any thoughts?

I don't think this is for a 'drain', but simply to help protect the coach if any water condensation were to occur, which is not going to be any different with propane versus electric usage. The old-school method was to provide this 'drain' line outside via the fridge vent. Do you have a fridge vent outside? A dual-powered fridge?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it is a dual powered fridge. Would it hurt to route the drain line through the outside cover? This is what I did on my previous MH.

I believe it is for the drain but there shouldn’t be much water in it. About the only tine it would be used is for defrosting. Don’t know how you do that, but we usually use a towel to get most of it. I sure don’t see any problem with rerouting it if it makes you feel better.
