Full body painting

Ok my 2015 Hurricane 34 J looks 20 years old. Faded horrible. Tan color is now 16 different shades. Wish I had to get the full body paint now so bad!

Question; Has anybody had there non full body paint motorhome painted? If so , where and how much did it cost?

Darren

I would guess is is quite expensive. My Hurricane has partial paint and when the rear of the coach was "sideswiped" by a 45' landscaping trailer, the paint shop charged $2,500 to scuff the repair and repaint it. The fiberglass repair was $1,500 and the rear decal was $125 from Thor MC. Most large boat repair places have the facilities to paint your Hurricane and do truck paint shops. Thor MC now has its own paint shop (prior to 2017 Thor MC contract out all their painting), so they might be able to do it for you.

13 years ago just paint alone was 1900 bucks for my Dodge Dakota. I can only imagine how much it costs now!

I would find a shop that paints big rigs for a realistic price quote. If you are handy you could do as much "prep" work as possible to save on the total bill. I have done that on 3 or 4 cars and saved a bunch.

On a 36' to 45' Beaver, Country Coach, Entegra, Cornerstone, Foretravel, Newell or Prevost conversion... complete factory multi-color all in (without any "damage repair body work") $25k to $45k. (using the exact same paint & materials as factory..........not a matched clone)
I have seen several coaches that were painted in Mexico...for half the price or less.. No idea how long those will stand up to the elements tho............

I guess my suggestion was kinda obvious wasn't it. Oh well, some people these days need all the help they can get. My front cap is already fading. Pretty sad...

My guess is for a 34, you would be looking at approx. 20 to 25K. You might consider doing a section a year for the next several years, assuming you can find a paint shop that will work with you.

I had our 2007 Winnebago View (24') painted 2010. The Gelcoat only lasted 4 years. Most shops wanted of 8k but I found one that painted the front cap, both sidewalls and the rear wall for $3700. Still looked like new when I traded it for the Quantum last year.

I had it done at Riverfront Collision Center in Augusta, Ga. Their website is riverfrontcollisioncenter.com. They no longer own the shop in Evans but are still in Augusta. I found the invoice and out the door price was $3544 which included installing new graphics which I provided. The date on the invoice is 11/29/2010.

I agree. Take a look at a "Wrap-Job".
They'll probably be about a third the cost of having it painted.
