2016 thor four winds no start

Hello all, I have a 2016 thor four winds class C, model 28 F on a ford E450 chassis. For no apparent reason it will crank but not start. I tried cycling the slide with no change. I have not had a chance to check spark or fuel pressure but I suspect a safety switch for the slide. Any ideas?

I don't think it would even crank if it were a safety switch.

My 2016 ACE starts whether the slide is in or out. However the slide won't move if the coach is running.

You have an engine problem, probably not a Thor problem. Probably still covered by Ford's warranty.

nosticks is correct. If the slides are out they lock out starter completely. If the safety override was defective, allowing the starter to turn over, the engine would crank and start up. I think you have an isolated ignition issue not related to slides.

My gut says check the fuel pump fuse.

Is there a lockout for the Axis? Mine starts, drives etc... with the slide out.

Not sure of that model but I was told at factory none of them should operate slides with engine running.

Ford has a fuel shutoff switch that is typically in the passenger kick panel, or passenger end of the dash. There will be a removable panel and a black switch with red push button. Push the button, you will fee it click, then try to start again.

The "lockout" effects the slide in/out button...not the ignition. In some instances a person may want to run the engine to charge the batteries or other things.

I had a chance to test today. The motor will start with a shot of starting fluid. I cant find my owners manual to figure out which relay and fuse is for fuel pump so that I can test them.

Looks like position 5 (relay), 43 (20A fuse) and 54 (10 A fuse for relay coil) are related to the Fuel Pump.....also fuel pump diode assignment near the bottom of the listing. Maybe someone with your coach can suggest the correct info if this is not correct.

Hi, it appears the link I provided originally connects to the website....but they have blocked the particular diagram it seems.....and I am not sure which diagram it was either. You could try generically connecting to that website and do a search of various diagrams on it, or find your print out of what I originally sent. Not sure if this link will work or be of any value.

After re-reading posts you say if you prime the engine it will start, so electrics are good (probably not crank sensor then or PCM would block spark and fuel I "think"). Fuel problem; bad pump; plugged filter. Can you hear the pump running in the tank? Prove the fuel rails have pressure etc.

It would not prime on it's own. A shot of starting fluid would allow it to fire. I would say all of the sensors allowing it to work are working. I can not find the fuel reset switch on either side of the under dash footwell area. Today I'm testing for voltage in the harness just before the fuel tank .
