The door on my 2016 Axis leaked because they did not install a seal all around th3 door and the way the furnace was installed water leaked directl6 on th3 circuit board - shorting it out - and down the exhaust pipe rusting out the interior so I had to replace the whole furnace. I would check the board as well as blowing it out.

Take apart, inspect, blow out with compressed air, make any obvious adjustments.

Based on what you’re saying, it sounds like it’s a critter or dirt.

Your control board is probably not the problem.
