Outside Awning

We are away in Pennsylvania camping and had a guest of wind that lifted the Awning. It detached in the center where it attaches to the RV about 5 or 6 feet.
Does anyone know how I could reattach?

It's not for the squeemish, the height challenged or anyone without two extra friends and a day and two, maybe three ladders.

Or
It'll pop right back in with little effort

Or
You'll just have to detach it completely and throw it away.

Either way, you'll have to watch YouTube videos.
It's a hard thing to explain with words the epic pinching and the binding and the permanent rail damage done or about to be done and the sliding.

I'd give it a half hearted youtube watch a half hearted try, then tear it off or call a mobile repair guy.

Price a new awning cloth before you get too deep into fixing this one.

I've become pretty good at it, but it took a dozen of them(damn friend of a friend's butchers type calls. Everyone tattles that I can do it)
