In blade fuse selections there are MAX, standard, mini and micro. Most RVs use the standard blade fuse in the ATO/ ATC 257 design which replaced the round glass fuse in the early 1970s in American cars. Fuses under the hood in the power distribution box will usually be a mixture of MAX and standards. Fuses in the power center of the RV will usually be standard type ATC 257.
In the new cars, blade fuses will be micros in the interior fuse block. My 2009 Jetta has MAX under the hood and minis in the interior fuse block. It is a CAN bus car. All my Fiats (1957 1962, 1967 and 1971 used a different ceramic fine wire fuse.
I carry several spares for all my interior fuses. All my interior fuses have telltale indicator lights. I just wish the ones under the hood did.
