Gasoline smell after running generator in Chateau 31E

I have a new Chateau 31E. After running the generator for a while and then stopping it, I later get a gasoline smell inside the coach, strongest around the front of the slide (where the generator is). I checked the fuel lines and all around the generator while it was running and didn't see any issues. Anyone else experience this, or have ideas about the source of the smell.

Its not normal, so get it to the dealer to diagnose the problem and fix it, while your warrantee is in effect.

Same Problem with our 22B

Took our 22B on a 5-day "dry" camping trip this last week and noticed the same thing. Not good to be without a generator that long, but I kept it off and charged the house battery with the truck engine. Also had issues with the house battery draining in an hour or less with nothing other than the gas alarm and fridge LP starter running. She'll be going back to the shop next week for diagnosis of both issues.

This is just a guess...
(But it comes with a double your money back guarantee! )
Check over the seals on the slide. My guess is that you've got a gap in there somewhere, that needs some attention.
Alternately: check out the generator's compartment for openings into the coach. Even a spot where a wire or cable passes through...

I can smell the gas outside of the rig. Only smell it inside when the windows are open -- takes 5 minutes or so after shutting down the generator, but it's clearly outside and quite strong. (But thanks for the reminder to let my service advisor know it's and outside, not an inside issue...)!

Please be careful. If you can smell gas fumes, it also means you may be getting other gases inside RV that you can't smell. Hopefully your CO monitor would warn you in that case, but it's best not to take chances.

May need to replace house battery with two deep cycle AGM 210 amp hr each so you’ll have more power for your coach if not running generator.
