rear diff
Hi all from blighty I need a drawing of the back differential for a fourwinds hurricane 31h with the workhourse running gear cheve engine my diff failed and i am rebuilding it not sure where whare oil seal goes and how much oil to put in diff thanks

You didn't mention the model year but I'll assume its older.....
The differential would actually be a Chevy part and not a Thor part. Your best bet is to look up a parts schematic for the manufacturing year of the Chevy model chassis your rig is based upon.
You can then look up the oil capacities as well for the year and model of Chevy chassis to get your oil capacities.

Daft question but the british label saying its a fordbut engineer saying its a Chevrolet is there a number on the base vehicle to tell me the right make .other thing its a workhourse and theres a Powered by Gm sticker on door its a 8.1 v8 i think its is Chevrolet but would like to be sure hopfully the long model number would mean something now very confusing

There might be some Hurricanes on the Chevy chassis but when I do a search for a 2006 it comes up with the Ford F53 chassis with the V10 engine.
The sticker on the door would be what I would trust to determine the manufacturer of the chassis.
It is very possible that if it was built in Europe, they used a different chassis than they used in the US so I would use the information on the sticker to guide you.

Just replace the entire differential.
Surely there is a bone yard you will be able to match one to it from a big truck, measure overall width, match it to your rims, go from there.
Oil capacity? On level ground, oil level when oil begins to come out fill plug located somewhere mid way up, on cover, or pinion housing, 80-140W gear oil.

In 2006 the Four Winds Hurricane was offered on the optional Workhorse W16 Chassis which Workhorse launched in 2005.

You really really need to seek out a professional.
I could build/rebuild turkey fryers into rockets or into transmissions here with just the equipment and knowledge I have at the shop right now with no further research or questions.
But
I hired out my gear change because set up is a professional thing.
Torque wrenches, shims, gear bevelers, backlash measurement tools, angle finders, the nuances....
You're asking the most elementary questions about the most complicated setup on almost any vehicle. Unless by rebuilding you mean changing only the gasket on the cover, stop now and take nothing else loose.
What have you done to it so far?
How do you know it's the differential that's bad or if it's bad?
I can try to bail you out enough to get it to a shop.
A picture of the cover you removed will tell us exactly what you have with just our slight glance.

Odd for a rear diff to fail in a motorhome but it does happen, usually there is a tag on the rear cover if it has one, some are drop in type and will have numbers stamped on the outer face of the ring gear, there are also numbers stamped on the very end of the pinion gear, some times the rear diff is built by other manufactures other than Ford or GM, if its got a limited slip it takes a special additive and to rebuild a diff takes a professional, if the front part of the diff is part of the rear axle housing an the only access is through the rear cover it some times requires a spreader bar to set up the preload, I would search out a wrecking yard.

workhorse is a division of gm, also most international truck dealers are a workhorse dealer also, a 8.1l is a chevy 496 big block engine and if your rig is chevy powered it is most likely a corporate rear end you can tell by looking at the front of the rearend where the drive shaft hooks to the yoke if there are bolts around the diff its a corporate and just fill it to the bottom of the fill plug.
You need to have the correct tools to rebuild a rearend to get the pinion depth, and back lash set or it wont last long.
