Slide problems

Is there a fix for a slide that comes out a couple inches? If we go more than 50 miles in our 2015 ACE the slide is always out 1-2 inched front and rear I’ve tried syncing the motors and holding the retract button at least 5 seconds,is it a big deal to fix or just get a couple slide locks?

Have you checked the control module to see if it has an error code before you try to retract it after it's drifted? The motors are supposed to act as brakes and hold the slide in so I'm wondering if you have a faulty control module. If its an LCI it might be worth a call they may be familiar with this issue.

thor provided a bar for use, but they only provided one.So the front is always fine but the rear is out by a little over an inch. I would get another bar but the one in the rear is harder to get to.

Thor gave you a lock bar. That’s a bandaid. I suppose as long as you accept that Thor is off the hook to find the real issue.
Still I wouldn’t be satisfied. I’d be hard pressed to find the cause.

Took it to the rv center to have our usual grocery list of items looked at we’ll see what they say

I have a 2012 29.2 ACE and had a similar issue, it always seemed to hang out 1 or 2 inches. The rattling and squeaky sounds drove me crazy.
Finally I had CW investigate and they explained the motors have what's called a soft stop.
They ended up having to replace the motors front and back plus the ribbon gears.
They stated it's a common problem with these particular motors and aluminum ribbon gears. The mechanic said your lucky if they last 5 years.

Hope this helps
It's only been a few weeks with a month trip coming up next month every thing seems to be better than when we got it
