Pinched wire

No right rear brake light. Camping world checked it all out and said it’s up front. Mercedes checks it out and can’t find anything at the rear or the front. Appears it’s where the wire bundle is inaccessible between the floor and tanks. Thor suggests to run a new wire from the module up front back to the rear. Up to $350 and still no light. I purchased extended warranty from camping World. This should be fun getting reimbursed.

So you paid $350 for a fix that didn't fix the problem?

Ending up paying their labor rate to diagnose it.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, maybe it's in the fine print.
If I took it to be fixed...
Not fixed is not fixed!

Back in the "good ole' days" you could just walk in and beat the crap out of someone until they fixed it...sorta "clean house"...but it worked! Today, too many cameras to do things that way. This should go into a folder of "Why Not To Buy Camping World Extended Warranty". They are worthless. Dumb question but I'll ask it anyway...did you check the bulbs? I had headlights go out on my GMC 2500 recently. Spent hours tracking down wiring issues, fuses, breakers, using jumper wires, etc., to find out...both bulbs went out at the same time.

Sometimes the simplest solution; can be the right one!

Ha. Yes we took the one that wasn’t working and plugged it in on the other side. It worked. Process of elimination. Power of front, continuity in back. Something in the middle. As far as warranty, I hear ya. Weak moment but ya never now and I guess that’s insurance in general. I could had left it there but being on the road left it for another day.

Good luck getting CW to reimburse you. I had their insurance and my awning starting unrolling at the central roll bar. They wanted $1100 to fix it and the insurance I had refused to cover it since it was an awning. I dropped that insurance fast and had it repaired for less than $500.00 at another shop.

Yep, like my recent propane valve fiasco.
