Question Generator Hours Check

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to check the generator hours from the control panel inside the coach. I know it displays while running, and there's a meter on the generator itself, but I'm interested in a quick check without turning it on from the inside.

Is this possible? Thanks.

I don't think it matters, but 2019 Thor ACE 30.2.

Yes, when you turn the switch the opposite way (which primes the Genny) hold it for like 15/20 seconds and the numbers will come up. I did this the other day when I changed my Genny oil so I could write it down in my note pad.

Plus priming for 30 seconds then wait about 1 minute allows my Genny to start on the first try. Otherwise it takes 3 or 4 trys (more wear and tear on the starter motor plus drains batteries quicker).

I just went out to try that. The red light comes on after it's primed, but holding it down longer doesn't change anything. It just stays blank.

Well mine is hard to see and you might need to hold longer than 1 minute.

Does this hour meter work when the genny is running?

I have to use my phone light to see the #'s on mine.
