Generator issue

Having a problem with my genny cutting off after an hour or so. Then when I restart it only last a few minutes.Seems like maybe over heat sensor issue. Dealer suggest placing vents in the compartment door. Anyone else have this issue, and or use this solution?

Have you tried running it with the door open?

On mine if there is a error I think the little red light in the coach by the start switch flashes the error codes

No, as most of the time when Im running the genny Im moving, except for short stops here and there. I may try that first though. I did get an overheat error code before. Not sure this time as I was driving and wife was messing with the genny.
