Generator issues

Hello all, I have a 2016 Thor Challenger. My generator seems to only cut on after I’ve turned the ignition on for awhile. Sometimes it’ll turn on, other times it won’t. It’s almost like it’s waiting for the ignition battery to charge the generator. Is that possible? Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how was it resolved?

We house batteries low it will not start
