Generator oil plug

Onan RV QD 6000 oil drain plug will not budge. Have tried penetrating oil, tapping nut, tapping nut while trying to unscrew, etc. This is the first time i have tried to change myself, previous two times were at shop. I have tried to siphon the oil thinking that could solve the immediate issue of changing the oil but that doesnt work like i thought and cannot seem to get oil out. Anyone ever had this problem? Leaving next week and would like to change oil before heading out. Thanks in advance.

It’s either just too tight (pull harder on the wrench) or it’s cross threaded. It’s not likely to have rusted given it’s lot in life. If it was mine and I was unwilling to wrench any harder I’d take it to the same shop that did it last time and tell them that since they got it stuck it’s on them to get it unstuck! If there isn’t time to do that before your trip I’d just run with the old oil and worry about it when you get back. If the threads are buggered you’re going to have an issue of some substance on your hands. It can be fixed but not entirely easily. Good luck and enjoy your trip.
