Generator warm up?

Here is the information sheet that was in my packet of Thor documentation. It is for Cummins/Onan OnaFresh stabilizer. It goes in the fuel tank and prevents varnishing. The sheet says that varnishing is prone for small engines like the generator. It will occur in RV generators stored over the winter or RVs not used enough to refuel the gas tank every month. A generator with varnish buildup may start, but runs like it needs a tune-up. The generator surges, accelerating and decelerating, but never settling on a stable operating speed.

That is pretty much the direction I was given from both the dealership and the Cummins/Onan owner's manual.... two hours, once a month, with load, cool down for a number of minutes without load and then shut off...
