Sounds like dead batteries. Where is your use/store switch switched to?

Does starting the coach change the symptoms?

What model coach is it?

Do you have a switch that combines the starting battery with the coach battery? If so, press the switch and have someone try starting the generator. Start your engine first.

It's on use.

The coach is running. Pressing the emergency starter button.

Is someone trying to start the generator while you are pressing the emergency start button? This button combine the engine battery with the house battery but someone will have to try to start the generator while you are pressing the button. It's actual use is to help start the engine when the engine battery is weak but will work to start the generator also but you need someone to start the generator while you press the button.

You need to run the engine at high idle for a few minutes to get a little charge in the batteries then try starting the generator.

try turning the inverter on, maybe there will be enough power to bring in the slide. You may also try jumping the start batteries to house batteries when attempting to start the gene... I've had to drive my coach for up to 30 minutes to charge my house batteries enough to fire up my gene if the house batteries were fully depleted... also, is there a manual retracting unit for your slide? Hope that helps... good luck!

The inverter is for 120 volts. Slide works on 12 volts. The inverter will run down the battery.

Are you at a campground plugged into a power pedestal?
What model coach do you have?

- your slides run on 12v battery power from the HOUSE batteries, not the engine battery

- the slides normally do NOT work if the engine is ON or Running

- the Generator may not start if you have 1/4 tank of fuel or less, or you may need to keep pressing the Generator start switch for long enough, or even ALSO use the AUX switch at the same time to provide starting power from ALL batteries

- being on SHORE POWER will have no bearing on either your SLIDES or your GENERATOR, unless your HOUSE batteries are too low. The charger WILL charge your HOUSE batteries, if on Shore Power, or on Generator(AND the generator BREAKER is not tripped)

the other thing I have noticed.....
when my generator fails for some reason, sometimes the switch seems to not work at all. It won't prime, it wont crank
If I press stop a couple times it seems to reset it.

Does it attempt to start or do you hear nothing? As I've found out house batteries are key and the stock batteries are terrible. I have a Hurricane also 35 C. If the genny is almost starting but not quite and you have everything else checked try manually starting at the generator and as it is trying to kick over push down the throttle lever if you've ever had an old fenicky lawn mower you probably know what I mean. Unfortunately dead or dying house batteries cause all sorts of problems you will probably get error codes on your Jack's as well. Running your engine for a while should bring up a your battery levels up as well but as others mentioned it could take a while...Good Luck
