Broken electrical wire
Pulled into our camping spot for the night only to discover a miscellaneous electrical wire that was hanging and cut in half just above our rear passenger tire. It appears it was rubbing on the tire. Everything in the RV seems to be working so not sure what is goes to? It appears to go run up to the engine. Picture included. Any ideas? Thanks, Cindy

That appears to be romex, so, it would be a 120VAC circuit of some sort.

I wouldn't run your generator or plug into shore power until you figure out what it connects to. Could be a serious shock hazard... You could energize the whole coach frame! NOT GOOD! Have an experienced electrician diagnose. Do not mess around with 120 volts... it can kill you!!
Your 12 volt systems are safe to use... you may blow a fuse, that's all.

Good advice above. I too suspect it is a 110V cable and is probably the generator output.

Thank you to everyone for responding. It is my first time posting on this site. It is definitely Romeo. Our generator is on the opposite side so I wasn’t thinking it was that. We already hooded you to shore power so to late for that. Thank God nothing happened. We will definitely have an electrician look at it. Any more ideas would be welcomed. By the way we have a 2014 Thor Ace. Thanks, Cindy

X 3 on generator wiring... 
Be careful... See if you can find a mobile mechanic to come take a closer look at it.

Wow. Find both ends and apply electrical or duct tape to the ends. Secure it next to something so it will not drag or drop. Definitely looks like GENSET wiring.
If it is GENSET, the only time it would be energized is if the genset is working. The ATS switches between the genset and the pedestal power. So plugging into shore power no problem.

Looks like it's been dragging/rubbing for a while. Make sure the exposed parts are taped off and don't come in contact with any metal.

I believe you have a 120 outlet at or near the location of the broken wire. Test the receptacle for voltage.

Thank you everyone for all of your replies. Got safely home and had my neighbor who is an electrician check it out. It was a line that ran from under the bed to the fridge and then up to the outlet in the passenger desk are also think it was the one that connected to the generator. Anyway he ran a brand new line and it’s better than before. Thank goodness for awesome neighbors and everyone’s advise. Cindy
