Got broken into, need info help:(

Well, 22 RV's got broken into at the lot where we keep ours.
I'm replacing the entry door window which was broken among many other things.
What is the little rubbery, sticky, waxy seal they use? Where can I buy it?
Thanks,

Well that sucks! Don’t suppose they caught the creep? It’s a worry many of us have. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks Pete. It sucks, but it also could have been much worse. In some of the other RV cases, they destroyed the interior with a small hatchet. Cabinets, LCD TVs, furniture all vandalized and they didnt take a thing.
In my case, it was just a few things I can replace, and no interior vandalism thank God.
There's video of the guys. Need to get my hands on it.
Now I need to order this sealer/gasket stuff for the window, but I dont know what it is or what it's called.

Just awful. Sounds like Antifa sorts were trying to make a point. Does your nearby dealer not have that gasket/seal?

I think you want butyl tape? Check Youtube as there are several videos resealing windows etc on RV's there and there may also be other butyl tape alternatives shown there too. Hopefully the vandals are caught by Police and you can just focus on repairing and enjoying your coach again soon.

Every TT/fiver entry door window uses butyl tape to seal around the edges, but have not looked at a MH door.

Sorry to hear of the break-in's and damage, hope they prosecute these morons - most likely bored teens with a grudge somehow. Butyl tape is what we were told at CW to use, but I have not seem it in anything but grey or black - Home Depot has grey at 1/4 x 40 rolls listed for about $5.00

Check this website out. Has products for sealing, resealing windows, doors, hatches and a "YouTube How-To.":

https://rv.steelerubber.com

Good luck on catching and prosecuting the idiots!
