Thor Quantum 2016 refrigerator not cooling

RVers,

I am a newbie, have a refrigerator that does not cool at all. RV Is level, whether on SP or propane, it says on, no codes flashing. When on propane, I can hear the gas sound like it is running, but not cooling at all. I don’t hear anything when on SP. I don’t even know where to begin to look to diagnose. I replaced water heater myself on this coach, so am handy at following guidance on how to diagnose this. Help!

Do you or have you ever noticed an ammonia smell? The coolant can leak out if one of the lines is cracked or broken. The electric heater (SP) is silent but if you can hear the propane burner and if the boiler is hot to the touch it almost certainly SHOULD be “making cold”. The operating principles of an absorption fridge are very simple and there are almost no moving parts. And none once the burner is burning. Alas, if you’ve lost your coolant you’re likely looking at replacement at over a grand. Good luck.
