Four way water valve Anderson

I have a 2017 Miramar 37.1. My Anderson 4-way water valve is leaking. Do you know if the valve is available for purchase?, or do you have to replace the whole unit?

Thanks

Have to replace the whole thing. Think they are available now. Did mine last fall. Not too bad of a job. Lots of hoses=take pictures and mark parts

You can also contact Anderson directly to buy the replacement valve. Look them up at Anderson Brass/Valve manufacturer(Andersonbrass.com) 843 332 4111. I carry a spare in the motor home.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone not having a problem with this valve, myself included. They need to change the name to Duz Leak.

Had the system on the Challenger for 5 years with no leaks.

Nah, you only hear about the few that leak and not the larger number that have no problems. Standard forum practices complain and not complement

I have to agree. Thousands and thousands out there and I've heard of 25 that leak. Not much of a percentage.

It would be good to know the percentage. If your unit is not leaking it probably would not be a concern.

They make a stem replacement. Just depends on which one you have.

I heard they were going to quit making the stem replacement when I replaced mine 2 years ago. So I bought an extra for a back up. They have switched from the plastic valve to making the entire thing out of brass. If you can locate the stem replacement it's an easy fix. If you replace the whole thing with the brass unit, you'll probably never have to worry about it again. If you go that route, take pictures before you disconnect everything.

I had to replace mine on my fifth wheel. It was way too hard to turn. I learned to take it apart when it was getting stiff to turn and use plumbers grease on the rubber seals. Only had to do this twice in eight years.

Looks like he has the plastic one like I had by the year of his rig. He will have to replace the valve with the new brass valve. Their contact phone number is 843-616-4625. https://www.abcorv.com/products

I know the did stop making that one, at least the one that is installed on my DRV. But they could be selling them to other manufactures? I replaced mine with the brass one.
