Thor Vegas question

I just started into RVing, and have purchased a 2017 Vegas 25.2. While checking the tire pressure, I noticed two things. There is a manual rewrite out there that calls for 75 psi front, and 65 psi rear. The tag at the drivers seat call for 75 psi front, and 85 psi rear. The max pressure on the tires (original equipment) is marked as *) 80 psi. What is correct?

The second thing I noticed is that the dual tires in the rear are tied together with a single pressure filling point. Is that normal? I assumed that they would fill separately so if pressure was lost in one, the other would stay inflated until you could get stopped.

The single fill for the rear tires is an aftermarket thing.
Supposedly it has a check valve between the two tires so they both don't go flat at the same time. It is a preferred modification to some, I'm not so trusting just so I don't have to check two more tires, but I can see excellent value in getting one for free as you did.

Most here run 75 front 65 rear, but chasing tire pressures is a constant battle/obsession with some folks.
It is a bit dependant on the brand and type of tire.

Buy a cheap tire pressure monitor set up on amazon.
My favorite one is about 30 bucks.
Be sure to check the pressure limits on the display. That's about the only differences in them.

There are three threads you'll want to read.

65 Lbs sounds way low. Where did you see this "rewrite"?

Tying the duallies together is done to keep the pair even at the same tire pressure as the inside ones normally heat up more and have more pressure than the outside ones. However, the system is supposed to stop flow in the event of a rapid loss of pressure in one tire so the other tire is not affected. Kind of like when you seatbelt catches if you pull it hard but not if you pull it slow.

For the Axis and Vegas 65 lbs in the duals is about right according to the Micheline manufacturer. The aft end of my E450 Axis weighted in fully loaded at 8500 lbs. At 65 lbs the tires duals are rated at 8600 lbs.
