Has anyone used one of these?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071JQQL84...v_ov_lig_dp_it

With our MH at the shop for the last 2 weeks I have been concerned about the batteries being drawn down. Has anyone installed a little unit like this and has it kept your batteries topped up?

I was looking @ this also. But at this price range you're Very Close to getting a Better Quality solar unit for a few more $$ ?
Keep us posted.

You are correct... but I was thinking of keeping it simple. Easy to install, not an expensive controller to try to figure out. Just something to keep my 4-6 volt batteries from discharging too badly while sitting unplugged on the odd occasion.
p.s. But, then again, maybe I should just install a power shut-off switch...

While that panel will work to an extent it is not your best option for the price.
Also the flex panels have a much higher failure rate because of the cell material.

Nope: just a plug-in...

But the $150 that you saved will sure buy a lot of electrical extension cords...

Works great if you have a power source.

My batteries would go dead when in storage with the power switch in storage.
I found the easiest solution was to just disconnect the batteries. Havent't had a problem since.

Thanks guys! I just received my cut-off switch from Amazon. I'll get that installed when we get our MH back. I went to the shop today and plugged it into power. Batteries were at 11.8...

How many batteries do you have in your system? I have 4-6 volt, so don't know if a 10 watt panel would get the job done. Unless, I use a cut-off switch also.

We have 2 12v batteries. It won't charge quickly but it keeps it topped up over long periods of time. The same company makes models with more output.

OK...Thanks. I'm not looking for a quick charge, so that would be fine. But, maybe if I start out small with a system like this Renogy. I could then ad panels to it if it "proved itself" worthwhile. https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Monocr...7JRJC8613QJ3E7

Scrubjaysnest,
Would this be a "better" starting point for a battery "maintainer"? Then, I could ad to it if I liked the performance.

We bought that same panel and mounted it on the roof at our storage facility. It charges our 2 12v batteries with no issues. I also hook it up to my truck battery that I leave there when camping.
