Have to tap/hit AC to keep working

In our 2017 Thor Chateau 29G, the air conditioning is working intermittently. It starts up ok, but after a few, several or many minutes, it stops running.

I have a video here:. https://streamable.com/1wenzu

Closing the door or knocking on the AC unit will sometimes stop it if it's running, or start it if it's not running. I'm guessing there might be a loose connection somewhere, but hoping someone has had the same problem and has fixed it.

remove the cover and look for a loose connection.

Maybe a rookie question, but how do I remove the cover? From the inside, or outside on the roof? I don't see how to remove the inside part.

yes, inside. Don't know for sure about your unit. Start by opening the levered covers at each end. Should find 4 screws behind them.

4 screws, probably behind the filters.
