heater issue

2017 thor miramar 35.2
Today the fan for the heater went on for no reason. No heat, just the fan. Thermostat was set to AC setting. Turned the thermostat to the off position and it kept running. Only way to get it to stop was by removing the panel outside and turning the switch off.
It was raining today. Don't know if that could have effected it. Any ideas?

Remove outside panel and use a hair dryer on the circuit board

Common issue - circuit board gets wet. Which way do your vent louvers on the outside panel point? Many directed rain into the furnace area. There is also a controller board relocation kit if yours is one that sits horizontal 1/16" above a metal plate.
