Help in checking tire pressure

We are new Gemini owners. Can anyone give us advice on how to check our rear dual tire pressure? It appears that the tire stem extenders are behind the hubcaps. Do I have to remove the hubcaps each time I want to check the tire pressure and if needed fill? This seems to me like a lot of work. I saw a u tube of someone using a two sided chuck tire pressure gauge. Will this work on my Gemini, and might I be able to use a two sided head to fill without popping the hubcaps? Greg and Rachel from Iowa. Ps, we have the Ford Transit chassis

If yours is anything like mine was, when I took delivery, its impossible until you have some extensions installed. I had my own tire guy install them, now its very easy. It turned out that one of the inside tires was actually almost flat, leaking valve. Fortunately no tire damage, which was lucky. Had that tire dismounted and closely inspected inside and out, before driving on it again.

Get the extensions Laco suggested. Also, I highly recommend you equip your rig with a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). Many RV'ers wouldn't think of going anywhere with out a TPMS. Decent ones cost $300.-$350. and well worth every cent. I bought the EEZTire 6 sensor system last Oct. Model of mine is EEZ-RV-TPMS6 and cost $309. It was one of the most bought and highly recommended on Amazon.com. Easy to install in less than 2 hrs and gives you continuous readouts on each tire's pressure and temp.

Better than extensions are “dually valves”. These are essentially very long valves on the inside wheels. Much less likely to leak or tear. Main drawback is that you have to de- mount and then re-mount the tire which can get spendy. But I’m glad I did it. X2 on adding TPMS. That too is spendy but possibly is the best upgrade you can do. For the life of me (literally!) I can’t think why these features are not standard.
