Okay that at lines up to what I am seeing. Put a new house battery in doesn’t start the gen. Start the coach up gen starts immediately. Gen powers everything just fine.

My breakers on my 29h class c were mounted on the outside of the battery box. I had to access them from the ground underneath

Yeah went underneath, there is nothing there. The battery box on this thing is pretty cheap just a frame with an open bottom the two sides and the back.

Alright new plan just tighten every power and ground cord. Maybe when the lightning hit the ground it melted something somehow.

That is the generator OUTPUT breaker for the 120 VAC output.

Many people have been in your position claiming the breaker did not exist only to find it later down beside the battery or some other obscure, hidden location.

The picture you posted looks like a +12 VDC junction point. One of those cables goes to the batteries, one to the 100 amp breaker for the generator, one to the 50 amp breaker for the battery disconnect (USE/STORE latching relay), and not sure about the smaller one. Trace them out.

From your new description of the "clicking" i would say the breaker is not tripped but the battery may be bad. When you start the RV engine the alternator is connected to the house batteries and is acting like a "jump start".

It sounds like you are having a hard time finding that 50 amp circuit breaker several people take about. Well first off it does not look anything like a circuit breaker we think about when we hear that name. It looks like the picture Judge posted in Post number 9 above. It is a flat square or rectangular piece of plastic. It will have a post sticking up (usually blue or yellow. This post is a test button to check that the breaker disconnects.

It also has a yellow flag that is fairly hidden when the breaker is operating normally. When the breaker sense a spike (or when you push down that test button) that yellow flag will pop out the side of the breaker (just like in Judge's picture) showing the breaker has popped. To reset the breaker you just push that yellow flag back into the breaker housing.

Now, the Thor $64,000 question -- where is this breaker located. Locating where Thor mounts electrical components is like searching for the ancient, sacred crypts of Egypt. It should be mounted very close to where the house batteries are. For example, my batteries in my 2015 Vegas are under one of the entry steps. The 50 amp breaker is mounted to the left wall of the battery area. It's hard to see because there is not very much room in the area to the left of my batteries. There is also heavy wires coming off the batteries that is routed in that area so the breaker is buried under the wiring. Bu it should be somewhere close to where the house batteries are.

Good luck.

First off thank you to everyone for your help! It is very much appreciated! The elusive search for the breaker will have to continue. I think I have a better chance getting my 8 year to clean her room. Going to have to get the schematics from Thor though I think.

On the positive note. After replacing the battery and still not getting it to work I traced down every connection at the gen and in the battery box area: in unhooked everything and retightened and magically everything works. But once again thank you.

Relay like what?

Didn't think we were talking about relays.

That's not a relay. It's a circuit breaker.

This could be the problem. Mine is located next to the bathroom sink in a little shelf/cubby hole area, also on the wall behind the converter. Gotta look hard for these cause they are small.

Yeah, there are breakers in your battery compartment and other places. You may want to call Thor and ask them for a list of all the breakers AND fuses and make sure you have spares for EVERY FUSE in your coach!!!
