Generator

I want to make everyone aware of an ongoing problem I've had with my 5500 watt generator. From time to time it would either not start or die while operating. It's been like that since we purchased it new in 2016. In conversation with my mechanic/nephew he agreed to take a look at it and wound up replacing the carburetor. He then took the old one apart to see if that would tell a story of my random issues. He found a washer inside the float bowl. Obviously no washer belongs there. It must have been there from the factory. Now my genny runs great and my old carburetor has become me spare.

Glad you found the problem, strange things do happen and can be very aggravating

The Tuscany water pressure was always low on city water, looked behind the panel and the installer had put a kink in the pex instead of cutting it to the right length

Congratulations on solving the mystery!
Now that the original carb is better than new: will he refund the purchase price of the second unneeded one?

I didn't even ask....being a nephew, he didn't charge labor and I bought the new carb from Amazon for $62 and it came with a shutoff.
