Hot water heater

Is there a way to shut off the gas to the hot water heater or totally turn off hot water heater and still run the refrigerator on gas? There are not separate switches for the refrigerator and hot water heater only one gas switch.

Welcome to the Forum!
Question: why would you want to do that?

If you pull the fuse or unplug the igniter the water heater will “fail to light” and the gas valve should close. It’s a half a**ed solution though and it’s probably not a great idea to rely on a safety feature to turn it off. If it’s something you plan to do regularly it would be easy enough to put a manual valve in the line.

If your coach has a "Gas" switch then it has a remote shutoff for the gas from the tank.

You should also have 2 switches for the water heater:
1 to run it on gas
1 to run it on electric

(unless you have one of them there "tankless" water heaters)

When the water heater gas switch is not on, gas is cutoff to the water heater by an electrical solenoid operated valve.

Same thing for the fridge: when it is on "Auto" and you have 120 VAC the gas can't get to the fridge because of its electrical cutoff valve.

And when the thermostat is not on "Heat" (or if it is and the temperature is above the setpoint) no gas gets to the furnace because of its electrical cutoff valve.
