Hot Water heater drain plug

When winterizing my Thor 22FE I have had problems trying to get the hot water heater drain plug out as it is behind the burner tube. I eventually get it out with channel lock pliers but have tried to find a 1 inch shallow or low profile socket as I thing this would fit. I had this same problem with a travel trailer I had, it is frustrating

I also found mine difficult to remove so I put in one of these:

Brass Water Heater Drain Valve, 1/2”

I tried to import the photo but couldn't get it to work. Anyway, once installed you can easily open the water heater valve to release the water without removing the plug.
