House batteries dead after 24 hours charging

My only concern is... What if one of the batteries I receive from Amazon is bad. What then? Can I send them back?


I also looked at the Duracell AGM Marine Battery, Group Size 27M 92 amp hr batteries from Sams Club.

Normally Amazon warrants merchandise for 30 days for a pre-paid shipping return (Prime), but around the holidays (now) that return window extends to 31 January of next year.

After that you have to deal with the manufacturer.

Making some progress.


I installed my new Progressive Dynamics converter today.


Took about 3 hours.


The lugs for the battery connections on the circuit board are facing 90 degrees different from the old WFCO circuit board. It took a lot of maneuvering to get those wires bent so that the new circuit board would go back in to the power center. Also, with the Power Center at floor level, it was just a pain in the neck.



I was often blowing a 110 circuit breaker when my wife plugged in her hair dryer in the 110V outlets on the slide side of the house. Turns out that Thor connected the wire for the slide 110 V power to the same breaker as the convertor.


So, Today I noticed that there is an empty slot in the power center. I am going to buy another breaker and put it in the slot.


BTW, when I started this project today, my poor batteries were sitting at 5.2V. Next step is to get batteries.

This is an excellent product for testing the real state of batteries. Charge them up as much as you can and load test them. Fool proof results. Most wet cells in RV use won't give you much more than 2 good, reliable years. They work hard and never sleep. One bad or weaker battery will pull the other one down with it. Replace both at the same time.
