Professional Ceramic Application
Had my 28 foot Class C waxed by New Image today. He does it twice a year for 300 each time. I have used him for the last 4 years. He is a dealer for Ceramic Application. They sand to the gelcoat wipe everything down with alcohol then apply the ceramic. He says it takes a week. $3000 for the job. It's suppose to last for 6 to 7 years and then reapplication. No sanding.
Has anyone had this procedure done. How was the results? Would you do it again?
Thanks

I’ve heard that DIY ceramic coating is very different and inferior to professional products/applications. I have no trouble believing that but nevertheless I’m seriously skeptical that any applied coating that could last 7 years. And for the price I’m not sure but what you could get clear coat “paint”.

So they sand over all the decals? That sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I have used Mothers CMX for the past two years, because thats how long I've had my unit, and it lasts all year. Very easy to apply, water runs off, doesn't bead up like wax and it really brings out the shine.

I used MaGuiers Ultimate on my daily driver with good success.
Comes out cloudy on the RV. Might try the Mothers.

The detailer I use from time to time does a professional application which costs between 6000 and 8000 depending on application options chosen. At 10.00 per foot for a wash and wax I could get 15 wash and wax services. That’s 7.5 years at twice per year. This rig is 2 years old now so I doubt I’ll have it more than 5 more years. Does not make economic sense to me.
May not have to wax it after application but you still have to wash it. Also it doesn’t prevent scratches, dents and dings so reapplication May be necessary after repairs. Could get expensive.
