Just went through something like this

My inverter failed which is powered always by the batteries but has a switch when on shore power that kept it hot, sometimes. It cuts off the home style refrig., the T.V's and a couple of regular wall plugs in the bedroom on that same circuit. The house batteries need to be in the circuit somehow and they are on their own extra battery cable to the inverter. You have an additional problem since even with the shore power the circuit didn't reactivate, you might check the 50 map breakers in the battery area.
