Inaccurate temp reading on front sensor

Has anyone had this issue? Front sensor reads 20 degrees different than rear sensor (which is correct)

If you're talking A/C sensors...this issue is common. They're probably mounted under a cabinet, over a window. The heat build up in the cabinets combined with the radiant heat around the window area causes the train to take a dirt road. My front one is mounted under passenger side cabinets over the sofa...rear one is mounted over the vanity, under the TV cavity under the BR window. I don't think there's a solid fix for this. A few here have tried different things...but...

The a/c and heat sensor.

Use a known good reading temperature reading device to make sure the readings are correct at both sensors .

I don't think that would solve the issue...it's a design issue. Just as in our home, placing the sensor inboard and closer to the air return portion of the a/c might make them more accurate.

What i have found is the sensors work ok but the location is subject to sunlight and convection heat.

I simply lead or lag set points until evening

It is just the nature of an RV

All three of mine will need action based on the direction the coach is parked and shade or not

It is a learning curve for each RV

I have three thermometers in my Hurricane and they all read different.

I only have one sensor in my coach, but still got wildly fluctuating temp readings depending on the outside temperature and the direction of the sun. Mine is located on the underside of an upper cabinet mounted over a window. When it’s hot outside and the afternoon sun shines on that wall the sensor gets pretty hot and just keeps running the AC even though the ambient temperature inside is ok. I removed the screws holding the sensor and added a little foam insulating “gasket” above it to isolate it from the warm cabinet bottom. I also cut a piece of Reflectix bubble wrap which can be easily installed/removed from that window as needed. It fits behind the pleated blinds so doesn’t even show from the inside. Not a perfect solution, but it helps.
While experimenting for a solution to this problem I removed the sensor screws, pulled it down and let the sensor dangle on its wire right over the couch. Once it got down into the ambient air it worked much better but my wife was creeped out because she thought it looked like a spider!
