Inoperable Slide With 8 Red Flashes

I've got a slide that has started to misbehave!
While starting to prepare for an upcoming trip: I fired up the generator, and tried to retract the slide...
The rear of it sounded and moved normally: the front was silent and frozen in place!
I'm getting an "8 Red Flashes" error message
I tried an electronic override without success...
While I'm still not sure what that means: can anyone help to get me pointed in the right direction?
Thanks!

Bob,
"Wire short between controller and motor". There should also be a green light flashing 1 or 2 flashes. Indicating which motor

Chech wing at both places. Make sure everything is plugged in tight

The fault codes are written on the controller lower left corner

Bob - just kinda went through this. Turns out it was a bad motor. Biggest issue with replacing the motor, figuring out how to get it out. Motor is available on Amazon for about $145. If you decide to do it yourself, we can provide some guidance.

It's going to sound crazy, but if you tried the above to include pushing in those two molex connectors, hold the extend for 3 to 5 seconds. Contemplate life for a moment then attempt to retract slide.

There was a single green light in between the eight red flashes...
But it was very apparent that it was the front end of the unit that wasn't getting with the program.
I'll re-check the connections at the controller (and try another electronic override also!) Assuming that I still end up where I am right now: I'm going to try and find that front motor (top front of the slide...), and start tracing the wiring while hoping to find some easily repairable rodent damage...

I guess that the Giants-Texans football game has been put on the back burner...

UPDATE: The Second-Half of the Game is on!!
After unplugging and re-plugging motor #1 a couple of times: I tried the electronic bypass again and it worked.
I'm currently not showing any error codes blinking, so I'll assume that it decided to fix itself...
Once the slide came in: I raised the leveling jacks, shut all of the overhead vents, put away anything that could fall & break, and took it for a short hop down the road...
The brakes are horrible: I think I need some hard stops to clean the discs!
Got it home and aired-up the tires (77 psi up front, and 83 psi in the dualies),
and plugged it in...

Thanks for the suggestions!

I have read that the plugs sometimes are not push in enough. Glad you got it fixed. Hopefully it will stay that way
