Low Battery Voltage on Solar Charger

Brand new 38MB Class A never used solar while traveling but decided to try it while it is sitting in the driveway. Controller is set to correct battery type and panels show power is being generated but the “Low Battery Voltage” error stays on. The house batteries are at 14.1V so they are NOT low. Only thing I can think of is they slare arrays are not connected to any battery? Do they require a separate battery that is then wired to the other 6V batteries in the battery bay? There is no way to select 6V or 12V battery type or the tech like LiI, AGM, wet, etc. Anything I can troubleshoot or is this a dealer fix?

Solar array connects to the charge controller. The charge controller connects to the batteries being charged. Low voltage = no connection. Have you checked the fuses in/out of the controller?

All I know about is the panel on the wall. I do have a generic wiring diagram in the owners manual but that’s it. Thor doesn’t provide anything about the system just manuals for each device and the Solar Controller is only software far as I can tell integrated into my main touch panel. If there is a also a physical device I don’t know where it is and have no documentation on the location of any devices that are not obvious.

So your choices are:
Take it to a dealer, or
Call a mobile RV tech.

Before you “take it to a dealer”, try this simple thing:

Your house batteries are probably under the steps or maybe in a compartment. Look for a #10 gauge red wire attached to one of the battery’s positive terminals. There should be a fuse holder on that wire close (less than a foot probably) to the positive terminal. Check to see if that fuse is blown and if so replace it.

The other things require a multimeter and if you are uncomfortable with that, see the paragraph above.

Low voltage

If you have 2 x 6V batteries, make sure that the wires to the controller are connected to the 12V (batteries in series), rather than just across one battery.
