Inverter low battery error message

Our Thor Chateau constantly shows E02 error with 11.2 voltage showing on the inverter even when we have the coach plugged into shore power. Does anyone know why and does this mean the coach batteries are not fully charged when it shows this error.

The first thing I would check is to verify the use/store switch is in the use position. If that is not the issue you may have a problem with the converter not charging the batteries. If the converter is the issue the batteries should be able to be charged by running the engine. If you still have the problem after running the engine you may have a battery issue.

They will charge and show 13+ volts when we run the engine. We just thought if we are on shore power that is should maintain that voltage. Our service dearlerships in the Salt Lake area are worthless and one refuses to service our motorhome because we did not purchase it there so we are trying to fix the small issues ourselves.

If you are on shore power and the use/store switch is in the use position you should maintain over 12 volts. If both conditions exist and you do charge from the engine I would say to start looking at a possible faulty converter.

If you have a handheld multimeter the best thing is to measure the voltage right at your batteries. If you're on shore power with the switch in the "USE" position you should read 13 volts or higher.

Thanks, it looks like it might not have been on Use, the button was in the middle, not on store and not on use, I hit it up to Use, still sits in the middle but I heard a click.

When the use switch kicked in the inverter panel should have switched from reading the battery voltage to reading the charging voltage level. More than like it should have jumped from the previous 11 volts to somewhere over 13.
