Jacks Stuck down

I have a 2018 Thor Miramar, we just returned from a 4-day trip. I parked the RV and tried to level the RV, jacks came down but stopped halfway through (just enough to prevent me from moving an inch). It is supposed to have a protection measure that when the brake comes off and the RV is in gear it is supposed to auto retract. That isn't happening. The control pad is flashing at the "right" arrow. When on shore power, most everything works but without shore power, we have no main power and nothing works. Jacks won't retract, the inverter won't turn on, the generator won't start. Does this mean my house batteries are shot?

Sounds like you have no battery juice coming in from the coach batteries. Check the connections and the coach battery disconnect.
Do you have a BCC/BIM/BIRD or what?

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you probably tripped off the 100 amp breaker that should be located in your battery bay. Reset the breaker and that should restore your coach battery power.

The breaker was not tripped. I am going to go have the batteries tested. My gut tells me the batteries have outlived their usefulness.

If new batteries don’t correct the problem, you can manually retract. That will at least let you move it.

Did you try running the generator and see what you have?

if your batteries are original, they may be weak for sure.

A VOM on the 12v side from the batteries on will tell you what you have. Follow the cables and test, write it down.

$60 dollars later, a trickle charger for lithium batteries and boom...everything works. Both batteries were down to about 35% each. I am just glad that they weren't completely drained and unable to recharge.

Glad you were able to figure out the problem and fix it. Thanks for posting your findings so everyone who comes across the same problem might have a quick solution to it.

Just curious. We’re you on shore power or batteries during 4 day trip?

When Big Foot installed my leveling jacks they stressed over and over again that the batteries MUST have ample charge... low charge/dead batteries is the primary failure point. That solves the majority of complaints.

My levelers are connected directly to the batteries. Even if plugged in to shore power OR running the generator - the levelers STILL will not operate until there is sufficient charge in the batteries.

We have a 2016 Thor Ace 29.3 and our pump went out. Pull the end cap off the pump put in a socket with a drill turning the nut both ways. If it does not retract or push down your pump have broken
