I have a 2014 Thor Challenger GT and this is my second radio. The first one lasted 15 months and this one only 6. The screen burns out. The fuse never blows but u notice the problem when the time on the screen disappears. Anyone with similar problem..?

Not a problem, but a "feature".

On the main menu I set mine to not show anything on the screen when it's turned off.

Miracles

I had the same problem when I turned my coach batteries from store to use.
The screen went bad and the unit locked up (nothing worked. I pulled out the unit and unplugged the wire harness and fuse. At first I tried it for an hour or so but it went back doing the same thing after 4 minutes so i did it again, this time i left it for 2 days and when i re hooked it back up it is working fine and has been working for several days. Hope this helps.

Mine went dead too. I was advised on another thread to turn my "store/use" switch to store and disconnect my chassis battery for a short time. I did that for several minutes and radio started again and has been working fine for about a month now.

BTW, according to the manufacturer the replacement for the 212 is the 215! These are just entering the supply chain so if you replace it whether at your expense or by warranty I suggest you make sure you get the 215!

Another one bites the dust!! Hey, Hey! Sing it with me now. I went through every procedure laid on every forum I could find without any luck. Amazing how my parents '63 Buick radio worked for 40yrs but one with less than 300 hours dies. I am not going to take a chance on buying another $700+ Jensen only to have it brick as well. Off to research a replacement...

Mine actually worked for 1+ month in campgound and 100+ miles home after I had left it for 4+ days unplugged...
I'm sure I didn't 'fix' anything - but of course now that I COULD take it to the dealer - it is working fine...

WHEN it goes again - covered by extended service plan... just the pain of having to get to dealer to write up the claim. Much rather install it myself - but the plans don't work that way.

ASA - Jensen JRV212T support

I was going to look for a replacement. Before I did, I sent an email to ASA asking them what my options were for replacing the JRV212T. After a couple of email exchanges, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email telling me they would take a look at my radio and repair it if possible or exchange it.

I sent in my radio and a week later got a new one back, just in time for my trip.

I asked the contact if it was okay for me to share their email address with others having issues and they said yes. So here you go:

tlloyd@asaelectronics.com

A little courtesy and kindness went a long way.

Enjoy!!

Bill

Bill:

Kindness works wonders. Thor Warranty guys make a note about you in your calls. They will bend over backwards to help you when you are nice, patient and polite. They love to hear your ideas too.
