Just a little help is all, on thermostats

Hello all. Brand newbie here. Yayyy! right? Lol, so I bought a 2020 Four Winds 24F in January and am basically living in it for awhile. Held up great in the cold with lots of propane.

I am replacing the standard Coleman Mach t-stat with a digital Coleman Mach 83303862. Wire colors and wiring are the same, said so on YouTube!

Shut off all power while changing out everything. Everything was going fine until the yellow (compressor) wire from the t-stat came out of the wirenut it was in. Before I could tell which wire it was terminated to.

Fished up the RV wiring bundle and found 3 colors, a blue (stripped), red (stripped), and a white (not stripped).

Terminated the yellow with the blue, turned it all on, had furnace but no A/C.

Repeated process with red wire, same results.

Didn't try the white as now I'm worried I blew something out in the t-stat or A/C.

If any of you have had any experience with this or need more info please let me know! I really appreciate It.

Thank you in advance! Have a great day!

Does this help?

You should have got something similar in the new thermostat's instructions.

Red should be +12 VDC coming from the furnace.
Blue should be ground going to the AC.
Yellow controls the AC compressor (On/Off)

Thank you for getting back so quick, didn't expect it so I took a shower!

Yeah I had something similar but the RV wiring is not color to color to the thermostat.

There is separate +&-12V wires, a single white wire, and a 5 wire communication wire bundle (in brown insulation) coming up the wall. The 5 wire bundle is green, yellow, blue, red, and white.

The thermostat wires are red, white, blue, green, gray, and yellow.

Red from the t-stat to the +12v lead
White from the t-stat to the -12v lead
Blue from the t-stat to the single white wire
Green from the t-stat to the green in the bundle
Gray from the t-stat to the yellow in the bundle
And yellow from the t-stat to either the blue, white, or red from the bundle?

I don't have the yellow wire from the t-stat terminated and the furnace runs fine, but no A/C.

Thanks so much for getting back so quickly...

Thermostat is installed and working. Was able to access the A/C control panel wiring and see what went where! Thanks 16Ace27 for the wiring diagram.
Happy Trails...

Glad you got it sorted out. You'll be very happy with the digital upgrade.
