Keep blowing battery solenoid

I have a 2017 Thor Vegas. When I picked it up from the prior owner in December of last year he had to replace the battery solenoid after he installed the aux. batteries, the batteries would not stay in "Store" mode. He took it to the RV place and they replaced the solenoid and all was good. I took out in May and it was working fine until I plugged into Campground power (with a surge protector). The batteries would not switch to "USE" mode after that and had to drive home without the cameras or anything else coach electrical. The RV place replaced the same solenoid again, part # 0121230. They had no idea why it blew again.
I have to take another trip next week and am leery about plugging in to campground power.
Anybody have a similar problem?
Paul

Perhaps just infant mortality? Maybe the quality of the devices being installed maximize the Dealer profit (buy cheap, sell high - plus labour). It is also not unusual these days to buy any device that fails to work even on day one....not just for RV's. Quality assurance/control seems to be a cost many Manufacturers have let slide.....and much of that is because if you are the only game in town, where else are you going to go?

Failing that, maybe converter output issues or maybe damaged coach batteries that are drawing higher charge currents which may burn the use/store contacts if you are turning the latch relay on/off a lot? It would be interesting to know what failed in the removed latch relays.....it could just be a mechanical failure of the latch mechanism.

Get the spec sheet and be sure that is the correct rated solenoid for the application. It should be continuous duty rated and the correct voltage and amperage
