I read online not to do that because it can overcharge the house battery should I shut something off?

How are you going to keep it plugged in, 20 or 30 amp?

Check the battery fluid level often.

I have it plugged into a 30 amp breaker that I installed in my garage so just keep an eye on the battery or should I unplug or disconnect the house battery

Your charger will automatically dial back the charging level; as it sees that the batteries need less charge...

I have had my RV (2016 Siesta 24ST) plugged in, 30 amp, since new. I keep the fridge stocked and on. even have AC on and set at 85.. Modern Converter or Inverter charger will not overcharge. Do check the water level in the batteries occasionally, mainly due to heat here (NW Florida) not the charging. Enjoy

Watch the water level like a hawk. The constant charge will boil off the water if you don't keep them topped off. If you don't want to constantly add water, replace the batteries with AGMs.
