Gray water leak and fix
While emptying the tanks I noticed a drip from the Grat water pipe on the tank side of the dump valve. A shore while later it was a small stream. I dumped the tanks and went to home depot for a fix. Spent $200 buying everything I could think of to make the repair.
First we wrapped the pipe with flex seal tape and then I put a bunch of hose clamps along the repair. This stopped the leak, for the moment.
This lasted a little over a day. It was dripping again so I started to tighten up the hose clamps again and was surprised to find them loose. As I was tightening them, it just started pouring out again.
Plan B: I cut out the pipe from where it went into the dump valve back to a straight piece of 1 1/2 pipe coming into the compartment. I glued up some white PVC fittings and pipe to match up to the piece I cut out. I then used Fernco fittings on both ends. Since it looks like a disaster to replace everything, I think I'm going to leave it like that.
