Weird accumulation of water

So it hasn't rained here in a few weeks and I've noticed this before. When I drive the RV water will start leaking out from over the cab from this corner and it looks like it's been sitting in there. There's rust forming now which is new. I'm also getting water in the compartment under the fridge after it rains.

You obviously have a leak.
If it is rusty, then the cage inside the front cap is already rusting.
Find the leak and fix it.
Also tear down the front cap, from inside, and clean/dry everything.

Well that sounds like some work, I wouldn't know where to begin. I may take it to a shop and get a quote, the roof is starting to crack on a lot of the caulking, maybe get it done right in one shot.

So I thought to take this on but then noticed this. Looks like algae. Noticing moisture in my lights, again it hasn't rained in a while. I guess this is bigger than I thought.

Not sure of the year or your financial position but most dealers don't take a second look at trade-ins. All they're interested in is selling another new one. Might be that time.

Yeah nah, this think only has 6k miles and is very road worthy, have replaced everything necessary to keep it going. Hardly a reason to trade it in. I'll invest a couple bucks if I have to take the front cab apart.

Yup - been there. Three contributing issues.

1) the cab over window was not sealed properly. I took it out and resealed it using a Dicor Seal-Tite kit.

2) the screws holding on the metal edge trim that the vinyl insert sets in were too short and not making a tight fit. Easy to replace.

3) the sealant along the edge trim had cracked as yours has. Used Geocel Pro Flex to fix that.

Well a couple grand instead of buying a whole new RV! It's like buying a new car cuz I got a flat. Yes I get it, an expensive flat

Are you talking about where the roof meets the side panel or the trim along the cap? Did you use this stuff instead of the standard sealant?

Both locations. And yes, the Pro Flex. It’s a bear to work with but did the job.

what yr model is this Class C? I looked at mine and didnt see any screws holding the strip on. Has this vehicle been modified? Those edges required constant re-sealing inside and out.

yea 10 yrs old now. Your choice to start removing panels and at what cost can you absorb. That strip comes off easily across the lwr surface, to inspect.

So found this wet and because it hasn't rained it's condensation getting thru. Knocking all over inside ad out and things sound solid. I found the source of the leak (sealed it and will reseal rest of roof) on top but I need to pull the stripping to inspect the outer wall. I was also told I should redo all my windows too. The inside dried after a day. How do I pull the panel out? Where do I start taking things apart? Being socal is relatively dry could I just pull the panels out, dry everything out ? Get an air dryer and hope for the best? A year ago I wasn't seeing any of this. I wish I had known to inspect the roof.
