Smile Entry door stopper

Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to keep the entry door from slamming into the awning arm. It slams into it every time it's opened. I try to catch it but not always successful. I have been to Lowe's looking for something and to Amazon. I can't find what hubby 'thinks' he needs. We tried putting a swim noodle on the arm, but that hasn't really helped much. Any help appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Because all Thor motorhomes to my knowledge come with a compressed gas spring arm on the bottom of the door that prevents it from moving past 90 degrees.

If you take the gas strut off the door, and take it to a well-stocked auto parts store: they should be able to match it up to one with a weaker spring in it.

When we had the vegas 24.1, had same issue, I bought big peal and stick pads on the awing arm. the quarter size one. I put 3 or 4 on the arm depending how far the boss lady put out the awing. Kept it from scratching the door and make that clanging sound!
